The Summer Reading Program is a family read-to-me program. Family members read 10 books a week to the child during each week of the program (a total of 60 books), recording the book titles on a reading log provided by the Library. A small participation prize is awarded each week after the book log is checked by Library staff. The program runs from
June 23 through August 8.There are two ways to participate in this program. Please choose one from the options below:
________Option One: Individual Check-In (permits flexibility in your summer schedule)
With this option, you do not sign up for a story time but instead "check in" with your book log once each week of the program, choosing from the Option One times shown on the bottom half of this page.
________Option Two: Group Story Time and Check-In (choose one time only; space is limited.)

The Hollidaysburg Area Public Library’s Summer Reading Program is a family read-to-me program. Family members read 10 books a week to their preschool child during each week of the program (a total of 60 books), recording the book titles on a reading log provided by the Library. (Note: Books read more than once can be counted each time they are read.) A small participation prize is awarded each week after the book log is checked by staff members.
Option One: Individual Check-In. Once a week for seven weeks: Choose among the days and times available, and check in at the Library. You do not have to arrive at the same time or same day each week; this permits flexibility in your summer schedule. Check in takes only a short time; just long enough to return ten finished books, select and check out ten new ones, and receive your participation prize for that week.
Mondays between 10:30am-11:30am, 12:30-7:00 pm Tuesdays between 2-3pm, 4-7pm
Wednesdays between 10:30am-11:30am, 3-4pm, 5-6pm Thursdays between 2-3pm, 4-7 pm
Fridays between 10:30am-11:30am, 12:30- 4pm Saturdays between 10:30am-4pm
Option Two: Group Story Time (meet for stories and check-in once a week: choose only one)

** Note that there will be additional Summer Reading activities throughout the summer. These free activities are open to all interested patrons and will be advertised in the library and community through the library’s website
